GENERALIST, HUMAN RESOURCES

Responsibilities

Role Overview:

The Human Resources Generalist provides daily transactional support to assigned business units under the guidance of the site HR Manager. This role requires 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably with growth in previous roles, and the ability to work onsite in a high-volume call center environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary support to the HR Manager.
  • Administers core HR services in line with corporate and site policies.
  • Acts as liaison between HR and centers of excellence (Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll).
  • Manages onboarding and offboarding for assigned units.
  • Maintains employee data and records (electronic and hardcopy).
  • Handles Leave of Absence requests (FMLA, ADA, etc.).
  • Communicates company policies and procedures.
  • Supports performance evaluation processes.
  • Ensures compliance with Workers Compensation and federal/state laws.
  • Provides employee relations support under HR Manager guidance.
  • Communicates HR information effectively to employees.
  • Supports unemployment insurance compliance and reporting.
  • Prepares reports and handles HR administrative tasks.
  • Upholds company policies and guidelines.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Experience with ADP and SAP SuccessFactors preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of HR experience, including employee relations and business partnering.
  • Experience supporting non-exempt staff in high-volume settings preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • SHRM-CP/PHR certification or willingness to obtain is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently required to sit, talk, and hear.
  • Occasionally required to walk, use hands/fingers, and reach.
  • Requires close vision and focus adjustment.
