Role: PROGRAMMER, APPLICATIONS


This role is responsible for participating in the development, support, and strategy of Workforce Software configurations as part of HR and Payroll system projects. Works closely with key stakeholders and application specialists. Standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software and oversees testing, system defects, and development to meet business needs. Maintains industry-standard concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Assist client in the collection of design requirements.
  • Design and deliver high-quality solutions via system configuration that meet overall business requirements.
  • Understand how applications support business processes and apply this knowledge to solve defined business problems.
  • Work with team members to facilitate successful integration between other modules and the Workforce Software product.
  • Clearly document system configuration and business processes to Workforce Software templates and requirements (BRD, SDD).
  • Effectively transfer knowledge to the customer for ongoing support.
  • Provide Best Practice guidelines based on the standard functionality of the WFS base product and available extensions.
  • Understand extensions and how to incorporate them into the base product.
  • Exhibit highly collaborative behaviors and strong team player skills; work with stakeholders and end users.
  • Support existing business users by investigating and resolving application errors, data discrepancies, and queries.
  • Provide application configuration and maintenance within platform and custom applications, becoming an expert on all aspects of these applications.
  • Influence processes and potentially policies related to the management of applications.
  • Guide and mentor others on the team.
  • Help define acceptance tests for new functionality or changes to applications.
  • Perform all other tasks assigned.

Qualifications

Required Abilities

  • Configure the Time and Attendance module in Workforce Software.
  • Assist leadership and sales force in scoping and project assessments for functionality, as required.
  • Effectively multitask, manage, and prioritize when working with potentially two clients simultaneously.
  • Take on new/additional work and manage priorities with moderate guidance.
  • Process and discipline mindset.

Experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience in configuring and implementing Workforce Software Time and Attendance product.
  • Must have up-to-date T&A Configuration certifications (2017 forward or Delta exam).

Knowledge

  • Time and Attendance, including customizations and extensions to meet functionality.
  • Ability to demonstrate Workforce Software Time and Attendance functionality via online meetings or in-person demos with clients.
  • Integrations Specialist or Reporting is a plus.
  • Knowledge of MSSQL / MYSQL is a plus.
  • Prior experience in consulting.
  • Ability to mentor other consultants on the team.
  • At least 3 implementations of Workforce Software Time and Attendance in the US preferred.
  • Cloud Payroll / SAP Payroll or other Time Management solution experience is a bonus.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
